community rugby

Ubuntu supports a local rugby club where children from the poor rural areas mix with kids from the local town. It is a club brimming with raw talent and formed out of passion by one of the best local coaches.

There are currently almost 40 children who attend from different age groups and backgrounds. It is a place to get fit, healthy, make friends and learn how to play rugby and is held every Saturday at the Hluhluwe Rugby Club.

Ubuntu is currently busy with a fundraising effort to purchase equipment that will be used by these kids as well as the senior rugby team who are one of the strongest teams in the region.

This also creates a pathway for talented kids to achieve higher honours and even make a career out of rugby.
